This is the piece of Sears Christmas Catalogue 1964 showing Tommy and some outfits.
Tommy could be one of these guys, I believe it's the one to the right. The one to the left had lost almost all of his hair paint, he had the same color as the doll to the right but I repainted him. The outfit to the left looks a lot like the outfit shown in the catalogue just a different print and color. It's tagged Hong Kong.
Tommy to the right I believe. If it wasn't for the face paint they would be totally alike. Non of them are marked.
I keep thinking about what we were doing before the internet, we sure didn't get so many informations and I wouldn't have been able to find all these dolls I have in my collection. I just came across some Sears Christmas Catalogues on the internet and found the 1964 version with a page showing some interesting dolls. One of these dolls were called Tommy and I'm sure it's one of those I'm showing here. Both dolls are unmarked and is made from the same mould, the difference is the face paint, especially the eyes. I'll show the catalogue piece with the Tommy doll and you can judge yourself. A friend in USA says that the doll to the right has been painted, that might well be true, I got him like this and thought the face paint was a bit sharp. He also told me Tommy was by PMA.
